Kanachanaburi

Making the big trip this coming February for around 3 weeks.. Thinking of kicking back in Kanchanaburi for a few days. Was there in 2003 or thereabouts, and found it a nice relaxing place to kick back. Not a massive amount of things to do, I think someone who likes to keep busy would cover most of the attractions in 2 or 3 days, but someone like me who rarely spends more than a few hours running around and prefers to spend a good chunk of his holidays recharging the old batteries could probably stretch it to a week or more. I'm thinking 5 days.

There's enough bars to keep the fluids up, a few things to see during the day. Tigers, jungles, the river, the bridge, cemeteries - plus the ubiquitous Thai charm. Last I looked prices were very good, and since I purchased the new camera I'm thinking there will be a lot of good photo opportunities to be had.

Any thoughts? Or has the place suddenly gone to shite? In any case Bangers is only a few hours away if I get too bored.
