Flood?

You don't mess around with minor royals, especially those with connections to the palace! Not if you want to stay healthy.

Ekamai has always flooded, and Ramkhamhaeng University usually turns into a lake. Expect the areas along the river to go under, but probably not more than that. On the other hand, Bangkok has expanded eastward into areas which formerly were farm land. The eastern suburbs could well take a hit. If it is really bad, the Royal Plaza might get swamped. It has several times in the past, but that was before the floodwalls went up.

The plan is to divert the floodwaters towards Rangsit and other parts of Pathumthani, since they are not so built up. From there it is supposed to go around the city. But no one knows if Mother Nature will cooperate. This flood was so much bigger than unexpected that the floodwalls may not go far enough north to protect the city, plus they may not stop the water from flooding in from the east, once it is diverted over there.

Hi, My wife is very worried (likely unnecessary) and keeps saying we should buy a boat :) Sanuk!

So, buy an air-boat and put her to work ;-)

She taxi stranded people around in the flooded areas.

Maybe a profitable, but temporary occupation :-)
