Mekong
Flash dave32 got his info from Times Higher Education Rankings where there are options to see by Subject. dave32 looking at the Top 10, US average is 92.5 where as the UK average is 92.23 not much of a difference when looking at the broader picture. See my old Uni still doing well, ranked 48th in World overall, 26th in the world Engineering & Technology / 4th in UK
Flashermac
Thanks for the link. I see I have to wait until 17 November to see my major. My uni is 41 in the world on the QS list. That is something of a surprise, didn't expect it to to be in the top 50.
Steve
Auburn University isn't anywhere near the top of these. Its automatically bullsh*t. War Damn Eagle!
Flashermac
Auburn is right there at the top ... in Alabama. Now let's see --- Takky got his MA from Eastern Kentucky State U. and his PhD from Sam Houston State University. Yingluck got an MBA from Kentucky State University. Strange that I can't find them on the list. Sondhi went to UCLA, Chuwit to UC San Diego, Abhisit to Oxford. Too bad that didn't go to a good uni like Maew and his clone. See my old Uni still doing well, ranked 48th in World overall, 26th in the world Engineering & Technology / 4th in UK Universities like Harvard are of course world class and some of them seem to be the best in the world, that's why so many foreigners are going to study in the USA. But usually those students have had a top education in their home countries already. But besides top uni graduates high tech countries need highly skilled workers who didn't go to university but have excellent skills in mechatronics e.g.. If about 20% of the US Americans aren't even able to read and many are much worse in mathematics compared to other high-tech countries, this will hurt the economy long term. BTW, we have the same problem in Germany, that major companies have difficulties to find highly skilled workers. Without them they can't keep on expanding and developing new products. Those in Germany, the immigrants, who are most motivated to learn, unfortunately receive lest support in education and have the highest rate of school dropouts. As a result those can do only low paid jobs, if the get a job at all, thus especially the men become criminals or islamist radicals...
Bangkoktraveler
If you are loaded with money, you can go to almost any college. Example is GWB going to Harvard and Yale. But the aversge person generally ends up going to a college or a University swarming with retards. The University of Arizona recently admitted a fair percentage of their incoming students can not do basic algebra. Algebra is generally taught in 9th grade school!
