Guam?

Fiery Jack

Recommended Posts

Have a chance to go to Guam for a (non-essential but mine if I want it) 'business trip' :drunk::hubbahubba: in March. Never been there before, and know precisely f*ck all about the place. Any tips, lads? Worth a go?

What your Uncle Jack likes is: sunshine, cheap beer, tasty affordable Asian birds, good grub, a bit of culture, and a bit of fun after dark (i.e. the dictionary definition of Thailand).

So, is Guam worth a throw, or am I better giving it a body swerve and sojourning March in Thailand as usual? :elephant:

Yes, I did a search, soft lad, but nothing at all came up. :whatever:

Thanks in advance, as always, for any advice.

My mate in Angeles City lived next door to an American doctor who worked in Guam.

The doc would fly over regularly and seemed to have a small harem living in his house but we often saw him in the bars as well.

I can't seem to recall him speaking too highly of the sanuk in Guam.

I'd love to visit the island, but it is not high on my priorities. I knew some Guamanians in the army - little fellows who looked like Filipinos. In fact, their ancestry goes back to those islands many centuries ago. Most of the guys told me they'd enlisted for a chance to get off the island and see somewhere else - even South Vietnam during the war. The Guamies were good natured, though sometimes hot tempered. I liked them. Never heard of any nightlife there, but remember there's a big US military presence. Must be something.

Thanks lads. Yes, Guam doesn't soon too clever. I had a look on some other pussy-hunter boards: surprisingly silent on the subject of Guam. Nothing much of use came up, and most of what was did was roundly negative. The poor man's America, apparently, :nono: pricey and dull, and falling to bits. :hmmm:

Bangkok's looking better and better by the minute. :hubbahubba:

On the other hand, apparently the Guamanians (?) operate a very sensible 'double-pricing' policy. Japs get ridden raw on entry to bars and go-go-knocking-shops, paying well over the odds, while all other sex-hungry tourists (step forward F. Jack) stroll in for free! :cheerleader:

Can't all be bad, then. :applause:

Used to go on month-long business trips to Guam about every 2 years. As far as any "sanuk" comparison to Bangers, I'm afraid Guam would rate on the negative side, if anything (many high-priced strips joints and Hostess Bars where the only thing you'll get is mostly (see below) a lot of frustration and loss of money. Nonetheless an interesting place to at least visit, some nice beaches, a few nice bars, and some nice eye-candy to look at anyway - many of the young lasses there come from interesting combinations of lineage producing some exotic looking beauties. :hubbahubba:

OTOH I've actually gotten lucky in some of the Hostess Bars there, where there's some nice Filipino and Vietnamese bird hostesses: but there's a LOT of competition (men FAR outnumber women there). :shhh:

If you have to go there for work I wouldn't hesistate just for the experience of it (fun places to drink, good food and Fiestas there are fun), but I wouldn't in a thousand years choose Guam over Bangkok.

When I lived in Cairns, the tourist industry was forever banging on about losing the Japanese and Korean markets to Guam - any idiot with a map could have predicted that : tropical climate, ocean views and no-one to tell you that wearing black socks with sandals is a fashion crime punishable by death :clown:

Jack ,for your sake I hope there is more sex on offer than in Cairns. Umless you are the type who likes to pay exorbitant prices for an escort to come to your hotel, or have the right dr*gs to entice backpacker skanks back to same, you wouldnt like Cairns.
