no,i now understand what you are saying.

sometimes i want to just refer to certain parts of a BM's post and don't want to duplicate the entire post.

so i just tend to answer the relevant points but now i know the correct procedure hopefully i will get things right.

 

It was just that I noticed with a few of your posts that you opened with what was obviously a quote from someone elses post except that it didn't say whose post it was and at the end of the quote there was

.

 

If you only want to refer to part of someones post just delete what you don't want to refer to but make sure you keep the word quote in square brackets at the beginnning and end.
