Horneytorney
there is not much nightlife in the area where I currently stay. But even at the local Karaoke bar (with girls), which usually opens 365 days a year, the police showed up sunday night and told them to close and it stayed close on monday. Pretty unusal! So how was it at other locations? were the 3 dry days due to the Royal cremation enforced?
eyebee
Bars closed in Pattaya on Sunday and Monday. But you could still get a drink at a restaurant or a bar without music and lights...
Flashermac
Actually, the government finally clarified that only the day of the cremation should be dry. But it came so late that most bars didn't hear it in time to stay open the other days. No problem buy booze outside of the bars. I had a big Leo with my lunch. Horneytorney
I have stock for several weeks that I replenish regularly. I like to go and buy in the morning or in the afternoon; then the shy employee tells me that in Thailand we are not allowed to sell alcohol in the morning and in the afternoon. then I reply that there is a wholesale rule, that quantities over 10 liters are exempted from this rule! I just have to count to be able to reach the 10 liter...
Pom Michael
I saw Cowboy fully open on Sunday when I drove by. Tonight? No idea yet - will find out on the drive home.
