The_Munchmaster
Was just listening to a bit of Neil Diamond and thought I like this so much I need to share it! Then I realised there was no music forum! Hence this thread. You Tube clips of your favourite songs (no crap please, rock n'roll preferred although not mandatory). No links either, I want to see the You Tube clip in the post. I'll start off with the ND song I was listening to, Dry Your Eyes from The Last Waltz (great DVD btw). PS If Mekong doesn't post in this thread I'll eat my hat. PPS Liking Neil Diamond does not make me a sad bastard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM-MBECuBoc

Flashermac
Made in Thailand - Carabao "Made in Thailand", our land, we've kept it since the ancient times, there's been many good things. Since the eras of Sukhothai, to Lopburi, Ayuthaya, Thonburi, through modern day Bangkok. The city where people fall down the open drains (don't blame them for it). "Made in Thailand", made in our own land, the land of the meaningful songs and dances. Foreigners secretly are admirers of Thai products, but Thais don't see their worth. Scared of being looked down upon, that liking Thai products isn't fashionable. If it's "Made in Thailand", who's going to give the guarantee for them? (I think someone should accept responsibilty for this.) "Made in Thailand", and all it's admirers understand. That these are products produced by Thais, made by Thais. the shirts, trousers, and jeans, are sent abroad on planes, and then imported back. It's the Thais who gain face (but it's the foreigners who get the money.) (Interlude) "Made in Thailand", and when put up in the shops. They put the "Made in Japan" labels upon them. Then they sell well, sell for high prices and the wearers then brag they've got imported clothes, the latest fashions, from the magazines. It wasn't the foreigners who cheated us. But it was we who cheated ourselves...

dave32
My favorite from Quadrophenia was always this. I have no idea what the song is exactly about (other than being fucked up on the subway and generational/cultural upheaval at the time). Used to play this in high school and my mates would just go: that's the Who? (they only knew "you better you better you bet," and "baba'o'riley" - nobody even heard of Quadrophenia). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR5v4yyPV6Y
