She dug through Trink's columns over the years and talked to his friends. Did a good job of it too. She was Australian and not long after the book came out did herself in in some sort of lesbian suicide-death pact. Damn it to hell - now my death will be seen as just-another-pitiful-copycat effort by yet-another-Aussie-loser, instead of the call-to-arms I intend it to be. At least I will find one kindred soul in the afterlife: Yukio Mishima, a tortured genius Cant imagine what Mishima would make of Japanese society today, with claims that 1 in 500 Japanese women have featured in a porn movie. Extrapolate that to Thailand and its a scary figure, yet one country has an image of modernity and conservatism while the other continues to labor under the 'Sin City' tag.
