(yes, thats the jealousy talking - enjoy every second of it mate) I dont know what it is about Cowboy vs other bar districts - probably the overall height of the bars and the haphazard way many of them have been 'built up', but I would find that place kinda spooky once the lights have been turned off and (almost) everyone has left. Knowing that many of the girls go up to the short-time rooms to sleep (cheap 'rent', but how many could handle that ? er, wait, I've stayed at the Nana many, many times - doh !) would also add to the general feeling of discomfort, but alcohol numbs all of that.
