gobbledonk
no, a Welsh themed Pub...or something like that! actually a Britrish Pub but themed as Welsh, not Oirish! how does Welsh themed look like? How many bars in Thailand do you reckon would have room for this sign ? Gotta love the Celtic spirit.

The_Munchmaster
Enough to make a grown man (well me) I do miss The Dubliner. It was my place for an afternoon beer, late lunch and a read of the paper.
radioman
Sad indeed. But not so bad once they get all those new bars, go-go's massage parlours, and BJ joints in that area, right? Er, right???

Why would a bar in Bangkok have a railway station sign? (Not that I haven't sound like that trying to talk when I've had a bit too much of the cwrw. )
The_Munchmaster
Sign in window of old Dubliner confirms that they are reopening on Soi 33/1 although opening in November looks a bit optomistic. Construction progress of the new Dubliner on Soi 33/1.
Central Scrutinizer
These are the type of reports from the ground I like to read and see. Thanks all for taking the time to write 'em up. Lots of good info there for my next trip down to BKK.
Central Scrutinizer
Has anyone been to the new Bourbon Street restaurant now they've closed up in Wash Sq.? Where is it now, and how much of a hassle is it to get to now. Used to have my breakfast there every morning I was in BKK for many years (usually stay on Soi 20 at Premeir Inn now and it was a nice convenient walk to a clean good breakfast on soi 22 Wash Sq). I've lately taken to just eating breakfast in the breakfast nook in the Bei Otto deli these days.

Flashermac
Haven't been - in part because it is on Soi 61, near the Ekamai Bus Station. Supposed to be aiming at being a bit more upmarket. Hey, I resent that insinuation. http://www.bourbonstbkk.com/
