Steve
I didn't see this posted anywhere (a little surprised). The report says definitively he's doped up. No question in their minds and such a strong report I would have to believe but as far as I know the smoking gun, his blood, has not showed any evidence. Its like someone accusing me of snorting coke. They have witnesses seeing me do it but my blood test comes back negative. I'm a bit confused by all of it. One of you learned forumites please illuminate me.
zzzz
The story is that he was doping but was well connected enough that he got around the rules. He had the top doctors in the cycling industry working for him to keep his doping under detectable levels.
Coss
When ever I see a human athlete with extremely low fat coverage, and that slight staring look in their eyes, I consider them suspect. Skinny Kenyan runners excepted. A lot of people who win gold in Olympic events and Win other major events, may indeed be "buff" but they usually have some fat coverage. Here's some good speculation My link
Flashermac
Others accused of doping have been banned for six months. Armstrong is banned for life. Huh?
Steve
Despite Carl Lewis' suspicions Usain Bolt and the Jamaicans seem legit. Jamaican yams and beef patties are the new steroids...haha. I would be most embarassed of the viagra they would find..hehe. Lance is rich as midas so this wont breakvhim financially. Still i am disappointed. Its hard to deny the report.

He got a lifetime ban because he did more than just take the stuff. He was also found to be distributing banned substances to other cyclists and was the ringleader of a very sophisticated doping operation involving many cyclists. Basically almost every team member he rode with testified against him and indicated that he ran the program. And some testimony that he pressured others to 'partake,' including telling them they'd be removed from the team if they didn't. For him to be innocent would translate to a massive conspiracy that doesn't make any sense.

Redbaron
The way I see it he was banned "for life" because it is alleged he did it over so many years, not just once or twice. The usual 6 month ban comes for a one off. Either he was on of the "kingpins" in the whole cycling drug cheat scandal, and knew how to either mask the drugs or flush the stuff before he was tested - or a hell of a lot of people who have not a lot to gain are out to get him - possible someone behind them twisting their arm or paying some cash. Personally I think he was a cheat, but would be delighted to be proved otherwise.
