gobbledonk
Having flown to Sillypore, KL and BKK on various budget carriers, I cant say that I'm in any hurry to buy a seat on a Tiger flight - still, choice is good. Seems odd when SIA were making all sorts of noises about 'reinvigorating the brand' just a month or so ago - I guess its all part of getting the price you want. My link Virgin Australia has bought a 60 per cent stake in low cost carrier Tiger Airways Australia for $35 million. The deal will allow Tiger to expand its capacity in Australia and offer more attractive offers to customers, Tiger said. Tiger and Virgin said they would spend up to $62.5 million on Tiger Australia to increase its fleet from 11 aircraft to 35 by 2018. Tiger will continue to use the Tiger brand for at least another 20 years.

gobbledonk
Read my mind, esp given Tiger's recent woes. Still, nothing like a new set of suits trying to talk up a tarnished brand to give the finance journos something to write about.
