Flashermac
Roy Hudson used to have his "Hudson's Guide to Chiang Mai and the North". He had some fun in the "useful expressions" section. As you read along, you eventually came to things like - "You are cute, sit here." "Will you go with me?" "How much do you want." ... Then back at the hotel room: "You want me to do what!" "You are crazy!" "I'm leaving now." etc
Dexi
Not as bad as some phrase books .....ie. the question " where is the nearest train station ? " is translated as " i want to do you doggy style " etc .The 2 quotes seem well transated though.

Flashermac
As a teen I found an old book on teaching yourself Irish. I thought it might be fun to learn an ancestral language, so I tried. I soon gave up after encountering "useful sentences" such as "Grass is a green colour" or "The farmer is on the mountain."
