One Month Pattaya Rental Information?

CDN

Recommended Posts

I am scouring the Internet for information about a basic condo or apartment to rent for a month in Pattaya, but....

Why not ask here as well? Do any board members have a recommendation for a one month rental in Pattaya? I am looking for something no more than 15,000 baht plus utilities (absolute max. 20,000 baht).

Ideally the property will be no more than 10,000 plus utility fees, but I'm sure I can keep dreaming....

Cheers,

Many apartment owners prefer a longer stay than only 30 days. With an apartment you may also have to pay for water and electricity use too. Running the A/C all night long can be expensive.

A serviced apartment could accommodate you if you really need an apartment and not a hotel. RR-Con Residence is one place that will do short stays.

There are cheap hotels that will discount for long stays. In a cheap hotel room you don't have to pay for the electricity, water use, wifi connection plus towels and clean sheets are provided. You can run the A/C all day long if needed and not pay extra! Stay in this Charlie Place for a day or two while checking other cheaper hotels out nearby.

When you visit affects the price you pay for a place and even if you can find the place you want. December through early February having the most tourists with higher room prices.

This doesn't even take into consideration the location for this place to stay at. I like the Pattaya City area because you can walk to so many places or use cheap baht buses. (Only 10 baht.) Some tourists want to stay near Jomtien or Naklua but most of the malls and nightlife are in the Pattaya City area along with movie theaters, good restaurants, supermarkets and other things within a short walk.

No problem finding a cheap hotel room from 400 baht - 650 baht a night, low season, in an area convenient for walking to many things.

Do you have any idea where in Pattaya you want this place to stay at? You could stay in a hotel for a few nights and check out some longer stay places in person. There are many cheap hotels on and near Soi Baukaow that are not too bad. Check some out in person.

Thank you for the replly, SirHalberd.

Charlie Place was an old haunt of mine. I stayed there in the first year it opened. It's aged a bit, but is still an okay spot.

I have decided to stay at one of the guesthouses in the Soi LK Metro area. As you mentioned, that spot is within an easy walking distance of so many interesting and convenient places.

I'll try to negotiate a one-week stay price at the first place and then spot out a few other nearby guesthouses for comparison. So far I'm considering Metro Apartments, Sutus Court (not quite in the same area) and the Billabong Bar & Guesthouse.

Cheers,

Nearby, around the corner from the Charlie Place on Soi Baukaow, is the Katesiree House. They will do a deal for a longer stay!!! Free wifi in the rooms too along with A/C, TV, etc. No lift if that is a problem.

Over the years I have had quite a few breakfast buffets at the Diana Dragon across from Charlie Place.. Not that big a selection but I like the food they do have! My opinion, Katsiree rooms look better than Diana Dragon rooms and cheaper too.

Good luck.
