Hungarian Food? Pierogies? Dobos Torte?

Are there any Hungarian restaurants in Pattaya?

What about bakeries or cafes that might sell dobos torte?

And pierogies...I've been craving good pierogies with crispy bacon and sour cream...can't find them here in Korea and my culinary skills are woeful.

Any recommendations from fellow board members?

Sathorn and Rama IV, located in a wonderful old house that Nick said was built by a Thai nobleman for his favourite mistress. The house had thick, mud-brick walls and reportedly hosted several ghosts. The restaurant looked wonderful, and the food was excellent. I remember how much I loved the bread and rolls, something rare to find in Thailand back then. Nick was an old Hungarian gentleman, son of an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army. He had a collection of "relatives" working with him, though Trink insisted they were just Hungarians he had met here and there. Nick finally lost the building, when the area was "modernised".

Nick died around 1982, but his widow tried to reopen the restaurant in another building for a while. The food was not very good. :(
