Specialist
http://www.hemingwaysbangkok.com/ It looks like whoever acquired the Los Cabos site has gotten organized, and opened a new place. At first glance, the food looks pricey, but it might be worth considering anyway.
Flashermac
It was a Thai restaurant before Los Cabos ... and quite expensive. I thought it was supposed to become a pub? Looks nice but what the hell has it got to do with Hemingway? When I think of the 1920s, I'm more likely to think of Al Capone and Prohibition. Will the waitresses dress like flappers/
Specialist
I don't know. I got the info and URL from Flyertalk. It was just posted in the last few days.

When I think of the 1920s, I'm more likely to think of Al Capone and Prohibition. Will the waitresses dress like flappers/ I was there three days ago. I think they are trying to make it look like his house in Key West, which it does if you squint a little. Food is also geared toward the Conk Republic. But I suspect it is pretty hard to see for someone that had not been to Key West, which in BKK is not going to be too many people at all.
Flashermac
Looks like you've got it: Still, a strange choice for a restaurant theme in SE Asia. As far as I can tell, Hemingway was never in Thailand, though he was a correspondent in China for a few months before WWII. Maybe they have photos of Castro and a double-barrel shotgun hanging on the wall.

Specialist
Just saw another post on Flyertalk, that pointed to a review of Hemingways. Executive Summary: Fuhgeddaboutit. The reviewer had a truly terrible experience, and described it, in detail. There are far too many GOOD restaurants in Bangkok, that don't cost anywhere near as much. Flashermac
Surprising number of reviews for a place that has just opened. I suspect the glowing reviews (5 out of 5) are from the owners' friends. Good luck to them anyway. http://www.tripadvis...nt-Bangkok.html
TheCorinthian
All I had were the roasted (kind of like chips) potato wedges and a Mojito. The Mojito was good and the potatos were... well potatos. Service was not bad at all. So though I would not give it 5 out of 5. I would 3 out of five easy, but again, did not eat really.
