I don't know, but that someone is now doing something about it. When the lines downstairs were very long I used to go to the upper level for a cab. But now it is so quiet its not worth the effort. Guest Posted April 12, 2013 Report Share Posted April 12, 2013 Worth skipping the taxi queue at Don Meuang, though, and not to save 50 baht: it's horrendous there at various times, wait can be up to an hour...!! Solution? Either go up to departures OR walk across the footbridge to the train station and catch one of the taxis always waiting there...very simple. WorldFun Posted April 24, 2013 Report Share Posted April 24, 2013 the only problem with an assigned taxi que is the high probability to get an ancient cab who can barely move... however even at departures last time around I had a 'first' with 'gas empty' & the driver hellbent on taking me along for a fillup once he understood I was not keen he was kind enough to hail another cab for me for free sincerely refusing any 'meter' money at all...
