RM

You can use any IOS 6 device as your router an iPhone 4 is less than 6,000 at MBK now and when jailbreaked you have in excess of 40 VPN's

You don't actually use your computer for streaming, it is free for other things such as viewing porn or being a prick on this forum I can watch BBC Iplayer and post on here at same time. I realise that many people dislike me for being an Apple Freak but it works for me.

Ok thanks, think I'm a bit further ahead with this now. I don't quite get the "excess of 40 vpn's", I need only 1 at a time, a tunnel from me to the country in which I wish to establish an IP address, That really means one in the UK and one in the US as a maybe.

I really have no beef with the Apple ecosystem, one way or the other. This post is being written in Chrome running in OSX 10.8.3 on an HP Intel Xeon workstation, with lots of all the good bits and 4 very different bootable OS's.

Numerous VPN's are helpful, I use my UK one for Corrie and Emerdale (Sad fart I know) but I need Swedish one for English Football live at 3PM UK TIME.

I majored in computer science based on C++ and Unix so for me OSX and IOS is just like knowing my times tables. I will never say that Apple is the best OS  but since I have been using UNIX for over 30 years now I sort of know my way around it!

VyprVPN gives me access to 25 VPN servers in different countries, actually about 4 are in US, others are more widely spread, EU and a couple in Asia. It's a no brainer to select as necessary.

Software is a cold plate to me and all that I've done over the years has been low level stuff or proprietary, assembler and PLC stuff. These days either PIC or Arduino based. I'm a hardware man and mostly RF but usually low power stuff, 20kW and down.

Well the rumours that I heard have come to fruition, AIS are now showing EPL football from CTH for 199 Baht / Month, the app was released about 3 hours ago Live football with English commentary SORTED.

Correct, apple or android, note it disables the HDMI output so you can't stream it to your TV set or other devices.

Unless you have a Jailbroken Apple TV 3, it's only a little bit of Unix code ;) , it took me 4 hours and 3 beers to crack mine, I could have done it in 30 minutes but the beer slowed me down.

it is literally one line of code changing a "0" to a "1" its just knowing where to find it. Panthip.Com has been a buzz today with hacks on how to bypass the CTH lock, now my written Thai is rather limited but technical threads are mainly in Engiish making it easier for me.

The internet has been buzzing since midday about AIS taking on CTH , as huumlaar is well aware. Fortunately I have a little time on my hands at the moment and I do like coding computers, fark I had my first Commadore 64 35 years ago, so I like a challenge. The wife was "No Way to make it work" and I was "Watch me Baby", I managed to succeed without even throwing any of my devices across the room which is my usual modus operandum.

My next trick is to find a way to get CTH via AIS without the 199 Baht / Month fee, I think I know the code so will give it a go tomorrow, it's not the money but the challenge, it's a little game to me and I like to win.

There is one thing that is really pissing me off right now and that is OTP (One Time Password)

I am using the same device with the same IMIE from the same phone number so WTF do AIS require me to submit my Phone Number for a new friggin' PIN every time I want to watch another game, it's not as if I am changing hardware or phone numbers on a Daily basis, but I am using the same device all the time and is driving me mad, one of those "Things about Thailand" that belong in another thread.

huumlaar, I have spoken to AIS technical support about this but I can't loose my temper with an underpaid phone operator, but maybe if you have more meetings next week you may wish to raise the question WHY?

They have my phone number which I pay for the AIS / CTH service on, simple for them to capture my IMIE and ensure that I am who I say I am and am using the same device, databases are not difficult to set up or administor are surely a damn sight cheaper than sending out a new OTP every time I log on, half of Thai society seems to be based upon job creation.
