The_Munchmaster
Sorry to hear about your loss Munchmaster. Is there any reason why haven't named the Hotel? Personally, I would prefer to know and avoid such places. I was waiting to see if they'd compensate one of their most regular guests (I have stayed here about 40 times) but that ain't gonna happen so it's The Regency Park, Sukhumvit Soi 22, Bangkok

Munchy has now posted the name of the hotel - those of us who know his love for Soi 22 over many years probably wont be surprised, but it's sad nonetheless. Soi 22 has been an oasis for me amidst the madness out on Suk, but things have changed - I stay further down the Soi, but Munchy's experience has hit home. Bangkoktraveler
Next time I am in Bangkok, I think I might bring alone a small clock, pen or key chain that has a built in camera with DVR and uses aMicro SD card for recording. Ooops!
Bangkoktraveler
I bring a small safe that I store in the room's safe - never had any probelms with that arrangement.
Hamokhamok
To be sure to be sure. Like those Russion (I think) doll things where one fits into another.

Wouldn't the thief just take the smaller safe?
Flashermac
We had a guy in the Army who kept most of his cash in his foot locker. He came into the barracks one day to find his foot locker had been stolen!
huumlaar
Was common in Australia for a while for thieves to steal ATM's and open them at their leisure, do it know and anything inside is useless, but for a while it worked.
Flashermac
Some "protestors" tried it when the red shirts were running wild in Bangkok. Unfortunately for them, they didn't know which part of the ATM machine contained the money. They smashed the tops of the machines, found nothing and left.
