Coss
– showing that diets containing engineered corn or soya cause serious health problems in laboratory mice and rats... Alright, you got me convinced - I won't eat any laboratory mice or rats, besides which, they might have been used for testing makeup, and look too cute to eat... Genetic engineering in the past involved cross breeding animals or plants. Now it can involve messing with a plant or animal's DNA. Josef Mengele would have loved it. Also line breeding. And both process were trial and error, mixing and matching and seeing what happened, lots of errors and deformed progeny. Now they have a much better idea of what they are doing and can pinpoint stuff. Bright chap that Mengele Gregor Mendel another one Well HPV is a cause of cancer! So yes, you can "catch" cancer. No, you catch HPV. Cancer is already there, waiting for the starter's gun...
baa99
... No, you catch HPV. Cancer is already there, waiting for the starter's gun... WRONG! If that were the case, PAP smears would show the abnormal cells!
cavanami
At some point...where does it end? Grow your own food, but the seeds come from GMO? who can say for sure Drink coffe as it is good for you, at least for today...tomorrow it is bad for you...WTF??? Coss
WRONG! If that were the case, PAP smears would show the abnormal cells! No, the cells are normal, that's the point, all your cells are normal, until something triggers the cancerous behaviour in some of them, then you could see 'abnormal' cells (until yesterday perfectly normal Disney cells) on your PAP smears.... baa99
Before, you said the cancer was already there! Now your argument is semantics. Does something trigger cancer or does something cause cancer. No, you catch HPV. Cancer is already there, waiting for the starter's gun...
Dexi
Some cereal crops need to be sprayed with fungicide chemicals several times per year to get a decent yield on harvest. What happens to all that chemical crap ?....well,some of it ends up in your biscuits, bread etc.Makes you think ....Maybe time to start buying organic even though it is twice the price. Flashermac
A tobacco farmer years ago told me it was the pesticides that are killing smokers. He said nowadays you have to wear rubber gloves and a face mask when you are working around the crop. You don't dare touch the leaves with your bare hands.
