I know a Canuck who got a soccer scholarship to the University of Alabama. Two comments:

1) He is about 6' 2'.
2) I didn't even know that UA had a soccer team. :surprised:

Which is why Canada and USA don't do so well in Soccer, they're too big!

Adebayor, Toure, Nasri, Clichy and now Sagna all to Man City. It always hurts when players go to rivals, particularly rivals who win the league, but Arsenal did recoup £73 million in fees for the first four, although not sure what they did with it?

Van Persie to Man U hurt the most though and now rumours that Vermaelen is going to Man U as well. However he has been a peripheral player the last couple of seasons and hopefully his departure will force Arsenal into buying a quality central defender replacement.
"Guess that I was born to be a rover.
Guess I've always been a rolling stone.
But someday when my rolling days are over.
I will find a place to call my own.
'Cause even the lone stars they get lonesome.
Lonesome as the lost ship on the sea.
Even the lone stars they get lonesome.
Lonesome for a lone star man like me."

Vermaelen was a liability last season. Van Gal obviously thinks he can turn him around but it's no loss for Arsenal.
