Mekong
Can a farang own and operate a bar in VN? or are the rules similar to LOS? PD I have no Idea, the time I spend in bars is from the customer side of the trade and I have no interest in running / owning a bar, I much prefer to go to work earn my crust then spend a few Bucks in a bar and let someone else worry about it. Anyone who dreams about running a bar needs their head examined.
Mekong
This place cracks me up, there are certain words or names in Vietnamese which have a different meaning to Thai or English. Today I was in a meeting with the EPC's Project Director Mr Ting, and he had his sidekick, Secretary / Translator with him Ms Tong, how the hell I kept a straight face being introduced to Ting Tong I don't know. Senior Document Controller is Ms Bong and the HR Manager in Hanoi is Mrs Dung, and once out of the office we usually stop of for a couple at Bia Hoi. So basically I have idiot contractor, a pot head Doc Control, a Shit HR Manager and relax by drinking at Beer Pussy bar.
