UPDATE: Regime gunmen have been identified by their shirts as a sect drawn from Phitsanulok province, part of the Thaksin Shinawatra regime’s northeast political stronghold. This particular groups has strong affiliations with leading pro-regime mob leader and regime MP Jatuporn Prompan, and was involved directly with bloodshed in 2010′s violence as well. The group was trained by the now deceased Khattiya Sawasdipol, better known as “Seh Daeng,†who was shot dead at the height of the 2010 armed insurrection he was leading in the streets of Bangkok on behalf of Thaksin Shinawatra. The group is now pictured in the below article next to an image of a gunman involved in last night’s violence.

As promised by the Thai regime of Thaksin Shinawatra and his nepotist appointed proxy, sister Yingluck Shinawatra, it has released its black-clad militants against unarmed students in Bangkok, leading to several deaths, many more injuries and ongoing clashes. Regime thugs have surrounded hundreds of students attending Ramkamhaeng University, directly next to Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium were a pro-regime rally has been ongoing for the last week. Students began demonstrating against the rally today specifically because of the noise and vitriol emanating from the stadium non-stop, day and night, disrupting the densely populated district...

Sounds more like of a set up to discredit the Red Shirts!

The Thai TV News showed the bus(es?) burned that were transporting the Red Shirts home in the Ramkhamhaeng

area...just a wild guess, but the Red Shirts didn't burn the buses!

Noon time Thai News showed the No Shirts trying to break in to another gov facility! They also "borrowed" two police vehicles.

Tear gas being thrown at them but they remain.

Me thinks, next the Army will clear the gangsters out...

Seriously? Infowars is American right-wing conspiracy-theory propaganda. the article is written to legitimize the addle brained opinions of American teabaggers, Old coots that can't figure out why the world is different from what they were told it was 50 years ago.

...something changed?

Army has actually asked for the police to stop lobbing teargas at the protesters :p And has medical teams on the side of the protesters. watch blueskychannel they show the army medical teams helping protesters out regularly. I do not think the army will move against protesters anytime soon.

That is the pinko leftie journalist propaganda line. It is really class warfare, with 90% of the Thai population dressed in rags and living in cardboard boxes, praying for Thaksin the Miracle Worker to come and rescue them. Red China couldn't have done it better.

A more accurate observation was made by a friend here: notice how broad spectrum the protesters are, in contrast to the red shirts ... who are almost all rural farmers. (Thai farmers now make up less than 40% of the population.)

If you watch Bluesky, you will see participants heavily from the South, but also quite a few from Issan and the North. Really, so many foreign journalists these days are shits. I have very little use for many of the lazy, overpaid wankers who pass for journalists nowadays. :(
