Flashermac
Another 9 hour march yesterday in the blazing hot sun! If I did that, you'd be reading my obituary here. Of course, the evil "arch royalists" came out to support him against dear sweet Yingluck.
cavanami
Yes, it has been hot! The electric bill has increased 2 1/2 times! Can we fast forward and get to the end of this Thai TV drama

cavanami
"My taxi driver" was at the protests and he said money was being offered but he refused to take anything. Good on him!!! He did not mention how much per day is offered ....this is costing someone(s) and/or some group(s) a mountain of money!
Flashermac
I know people who go there regularly and the most they've ever had is a free meal. They say the food is good though. As to whom it is costing, try watching the procession as Suthep marches through the city. They get millions of baht every time.* Every evening some groups of supporters are on the protest stage to hand over the money they have raised. A group of artists has donated millions from the art work and t-shirts they make and sell. A group of Chulalongkorn grads in their 50s have been on stage 3 or 4 times, each time handing over millions. Thammasat grads, Kasetsart grads and even Chian Mai grads have done the same. The protests at first had big money coming in, but when Yingluck ran away and hid instead of resigning, they started backing off. But there's little need for them now. One Thai in NYC had donated at least 3 million baht in the past month or two. Money is coming in from Thais in Sweden, Italy, the UK, US, Oz etc. It must really pissed Takky off to see a protest that pays for itself, instead of costing money. *I suspect this is a major reason that Suthep is leading marches again. Protests do cost money.
cavanami
I am impressed that even though the protesters are offered money, many decline to take it! Amazing Thailand!!
JaiRai
The baby jesus was also protesting with Suthep - champion of the downtrodden and slayer of corruption. And he's out for big game - Yingluck.
Flashermac
Suthep is just one month younger than Thaksin, but you wouldn't think it they were almost the same age. p.s. Suthep is marching again today!
