Flashermac
Last night I noticed someone else appeared to be using my home wifi connection. I don't care if someone wants to get a free ride, but could he gain access to my own computer? Suppose I used passwords to financial accounts, ATM card information etc. Could they be hacked into? cavanami
Possible, as your router will issue this invader an IP address and then he can start to guess what your IP address is. Once he has your IP address, then he can start to try to hack into your PC...
Coss
I'm not the expert, but I am told that unsecured wifi connections are fraught with possibilities for people to hack you - I would get a password on yer WIFI pronto!
zzzz
I use a free online wifi security utility called "shields up" https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 to give me a little peace of mind. As for password to my accounts, I always turn off the remember passwords option on the browser for security.
TheCorinthian
You really need to place a PW on your connection.
cavanami
...or limit the number of connections, to like 1...as long as you are online 24/7...if not online, shutoff the modem/router...
