Recommended Posts

Well going from 25 baht to 150 baht on a hamburger is taking the piss imho

W....Nobody could make an edible hamburger for 25 baht....let alone SELL one for 25 baht

As for chips....1 potato now costs somewhere between 10 & 15 baht.....wadda ya expect for 45 baht.... 6 chips?????

Get real

...If you want CURRENT day costings...just ask

Cheers DS

Ray, the former owner, disagrees with you DS :p He could do it for those prices.

I am coming back for the chips KS, they taste like Vlaamse frieten :) and at 65 baht still a good price.

A kilo of potatoes is 30 baht at Huai Kwang market btw!

W....

Do the numbers

A "decent" bun cost approx 8 baht.... average 5 baht

BEEF costs between 250 = 500 baht / kg....so a 100gm serve costs between 25 & 50 baht

add to that contribution to overheads, labour & profit margin

Do the Math...it ain't rocket science

Maybe there's a reason the price went up....it's called survival

If you're running a restaurant you don't pay retail prices for your supplies. You should be buying in bulk thus getting a much better deal than the unwashed masses get at the local Big C.
