cavanami Posted April 29, 2014 Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 The US military has gone to using diesel fuel for about everything. Very difficult to find petrol (gasoline) on a US ship nowadays. The shipyards had welded gun mounts around the ship, so a 50 could be quickly setup. We would practice on an empty 50 gal drum thrown over the side.
