Flashermac
Gen. Prayuth Chanocha is expected to announce the end of the nationwide curfew today. After fighting aggressively to have the World Cup shown for free throughout Thailand, the junta is expected to lift the curfew to coincide with the quadrennial sports event, which will air live in Thailand at 3am. The sources said that Lt-Gen Thirachai Narkvanich, commander of the First Army Region, had already submitted to NCPO chief General Prayuth a situation assessment report which would be used for consideration to determine whether curfew should be completely lifted. Prayuth is expected to make the announcement when he delivers his weekly address later today, Thai PBS reported. http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/06/13/bangkok-curfew-end-tonight

The_Munchmaster
So what is new Dennys like?
radioman
Hmm, nothing like the old Very clean, very new and considerably smaller, really just a single open fronted shop unit on the Suk road side of the Holiday Inn. There's little evidence of the old place at all apart from the name. Prices are up, but they have draught beer now, Heineken, Tiger,Chang, Singha and something else, 90 baht small and 120 large if I remember right. We had a few beers and bought a couple for the girls working there then left. Didn't see any evidence of what would have been a typical Denny's night. The_Munchmaster
Yeah, thanks for the pic Radioman, it looks quite nice in it. I really didn't expect it to resemble the old Dennys. Always handy to have a druggie next door.
