cavanami
Yes, it is a world issue as if you are in a country with Muslims, they force there farkin Ramadan and all their other shit on you! Starting at some ungodly hour in the morning, blaring carp out of load speakers!!! Even in LOS, go down to On Nut, there plague has swept all the way to Sukhumvit! They now own many apartment houses and the first thing they do is kick out the non-Muslims to make way for more farkin Muslims!!! I've been there and seen it up close and personal... My Penis is hungry
How funny, in Indonesia I can buy beer etc any time of the day, and disco's close when they want to . . . . . . . Malaysia isn't far off that either,
Flashermac
In Malaysia only non-Muslims are supposed to buy alcohol, but I seriously doubt anyone even checks. p.s. Thaksin's buddy Puracha (Mr Clean) started the absurd drinking hours in Thailand. He doesn't like people drinking, so he dug up an old proclamation after a military coup in 1970s and enforced it. However, the courts pointed out that such proclamations have no legal standing. Purachai then had the signs changed to say that "according to the police ...". As far as I know, there is still no law behind these hours. But no one has thought to challenge it in court, even though Purachai is long gone from his position. (Purachai also started enforcing the closing hours for bars and nightclubs. I remember when they stayed open until dawn!)
Bar4
They're all fasting so I have to be discreet when I'm having a glass of water or a coffee. Mind you they're only "working" from 10am to 3.30pm so not so long. I was working in Bangladesh for Ramadan. Couldn't help it - ordered pizza for lunch in the office. Smell went through the whole floor and drove them crazy. That was a bit nasty on my behalf. ;-) Cheers, Mark
