Guest
Putting up the prices of visas and work permits to foreigners, might help a little to make up for the short fall in tourist revenue.
robaus
Are you serious or having a laugh? If the latter..OK you got me. I thought you were dinkum. The first time tourist numbers declined when the yellow shirts blockaded the airport, Thai consulates started to issue free visas to boost tourism. Oh yeah, that's the same mentality that works so well in the bars and restaurants when business is down...
unit731
Thailand will have to change it's image. That of attracting fat, balding, smelly, poorly dressed, emotionally disturbed, sandal wearing, unshaven, monetarily challenged, drunkin' old sex punters. My Penis is hungry
I question the numbers as Laos tourism is down over 50% - and it was empty last weekend, plus I have been flying in and out weekly and notice no queues, unless it's to leave, and now that's gone too. Echoing the sentiment of others.....typical Thai mentality. Low customer numbers so raise the prices. Thai business
My Penis is hungry
A few main Hotels in Sukhumvit down 80% - so I don't believe the numbers

Would not raising prices on visas and work permits do just that
