The_Munchmaster
People complain about double pricing in Thailand, i.e., a foreigner having to pay twice the entrance fee for an attraction that a Thai national has to pay. An example of this would be Chiang Mai Zoo where foreigners pay B100 entrance fee and Thais pay B50. B100 is the equivalent of £2 which is ridiculously cheap anyway, so what is there really to complain about? Compare that to Jordan where I'm currently living. I'm leaving at the end of the month and was thinking that I should really make an effort to try and get down to Petra before I go and was discussing it with someone at my hotel, who informed me that the entrance fee is JD50 (~B2,300). They also informed me that Jordanians pay JD1 (B46). So no double pricing here, instead 50x pricing?!
