Flashermac
It would help if the police knew WTF they are doing! << Panya said Christopher Ware, a male travelling companion of Miller, was now a free man and could leave Thailand if he wished. He had initially been stopped from boarding a plane back to England and was asked to remain in Thailand pending DNA results. He was initially suspected of having a hand in the murders as he had scratches all over his body and a serious wound on his hand. However, closer inspection proved these wounds were old. Panya also said that Ware had been very cooperative with the police and would be considered a witness. >> ... << As for the pair of stained pants found in Miller's luggage, the general admitted that the substance found on the clothing was not blood and that they belonged to Miller and the pants had been put in the victim's luggage by the first group of police officers. >> http://www.nationmul...t-30243629.html

Coss
Maybe the police are confused because the perp is not dressed like a criminal
Flashermac
As I already posted, the DNA should tell them if they are looking for Farangs, Asians or Middle Easterners. Maybe the Army should just take over the investigation and tell the police to stay the hell out of it. I am sure the journalists - Thai and international - are quite fed up by now with the police contradicting themselves every other day.

Flashermac
Police to request help from FBI in DNA testing Police will request the help of the United State's Federation Bureau of Investigation in testing semen found on the body of a female British backpacker who was brutally murdered on the resort island of Koh Tao this week. The DNA testing technology in Thailand could only identify whether it was male or female semen, said deputy police chief General Somyot Pumpunmuang, while the FBI had "sophisticated technology". "We will ask the FBI to help identify the DNA in the semen we found - whether it belonged to an Asian or European," he said Friday. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/Police-to-request-help-from-FBI-in-DNA-testing-30243681.html

baa99
I wonder why the Thais didn't ask Scotland Yard for help? Since the victims are Brits, wouldn't that be appropriate?
YimSiam
Hi, All of this is really making the Thai police look totally incompitent. Sanuk! Incompetent means there are capable of doing their job. Manipulating evidence to implicate a particular individual is criminality, not just incompetence...
