cavanami
I find that many of the Thai cooks do not allow the oil to get hot enough, thus the foods they fry are much too oily for my liking
unit731
I have dallied in street food on occasion. Price is quite reasonable. Some is quite tasty. But the bottom line is one does have to get to know the vendor. And the hygiene of such. Now, let me think back on times that I have had food poisoning in LOS. Last time was in Chiang Mai. Should have stayed on Ratchadamnoen Rd and not digressed into one of the smaller soi's. I don't think that the dog was fresh!
cavanami
For me, they street food uses way too much MSG, so I avoid it, especially in the soups.
