Well in Oz that doesn't work for Rabbits, you have to kill them, cut them open, check the liver, then decide if it's worth eating

In the warm summer months, no one hunted rabbits because they often had fever sickness. The cold weather came and

killed off the fever bug...or at least that was the story we got :dunno:

You can buy organically grown beef, chicken, pork, venison, etc. You have no idea what chemicals a deer has consumed (fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides).

Elk from high in the mountains would be much better then unknown "organically grown", IMO.

 

I have never hunted beef, but used to go well out into the farmlands and could buy excellent beef where the farmer I knew

raised it himself and ate the same. He would give me a heads up and I would go over and pickup a side of beef that he had raised...and it was great beef!!!
