Dexi
Don't know if this is specifically a Thai thing or not,but recently a familly member has downloaded a music track to their phone and set it to repeat, for the whole day, just as one might listen to theradio. They don't seem to get bored with it even after 50+ times. Is it just me,or would this drive you nuts ? Flashermac
Oh, that's what the title means. Ex-PM Chavalit had a sort of POW camp-looking housing area for his workers near my Bangkok apartment in the late 1990s. Every New Year they would play a Hank Williams tape over and over for about three days. Just that one album!
Coss
There is a definite cultural difference between Thais (and Laos) and Westerners when it comes to music. Quality and lack of distortion in the sound, are not seen as desirable. They'll listen to something played so loud that not only can you hear the speakers tearing themselves apart, you can see it happen. I don't know why? Maybe they are fans of Spinal Tap?
