Local reports from the southern resort island of Phuket say a British man died after turning a pistol on himself. The Foreign Office (FO) could not confirm the reports. An FO spokesman said: "We are urgently working with the authorities in Thailand to establish whether a British national has died in Phuket." The Bangkok Post, quoted a taxi driver who said the man had hailed him near a local resort and asked to be taken somewhere where he could shoot. Asked to be taken to shooting range, after argument with friend, a clearly thought out action, by himself if this was his intention to commit suicide. No one of course, would have an idea what his state of mind was at the time. What extraordinary reasoning in the spur of the moment after an argument, to come up with the idea that you want to kill yourself. Then decide on shooting through the head. The footage then shows him reload before shooting himself in the head, the report said. The Phuket Gazette said a taxi driver who picked up the man from a hotel at Bang Tao heard him arguing with someone on the phone while being driven to the range.
