buffalo_bill
nasiadai you should not ask this type of question on a board where most gentlemen due to advanced age could not afford strolling down lower Suk at 01:30 in the morning which is when most of the sidewalk bars are opening . Catering for desperate individuals who have been thrown out of the bars at 02:00 . The bars on the uneven soi-side are inflated by ladyboys and lovelies from Africa , on the even side by all sorts of human leftovers like myself on one occasion . The equipment is several tables and appropriate plastic chairs , ashtrays and a fridge . One bar offers a single glass in standby which is because I drink nothing from bottles . Rain by the way causes a serious problem . I met a 47 year old freelancer who has been dancing in all gogobars that you can name possibly since the Vietnam war and nows works Suk after 01:00 am . Great personality , good heart , swore repeatedly I am hansum man and could drink Beer Singh like there was no tomorrow . We decided to seek shelter in a 300 Baht shorttime place opposite the Nana fuel station in a secretive alley and the result was a full success and economically extremely recommendable . Point was that I still had to work the Suk freelancer possibility on my list of unfulfilled dreams .
Mekong
Bubi, Not sure if one has a word for it in Germanic but in English we refer to un-even as "Odd" Also if a 47 year old had been working bars since American War days (never called Vietnam war in Nam) that means she would have started working bars when she was 7 years old, fall of Saigon was 30 April 1975, it was a major celebration in VN
passingthru69
Well she told him she was only 47. IF working during the Nam time she is 60 plus... Hate to read the mileage meter on that unit.

JaiRai
They keep the sidewalks clear now in the daytime. Street vendors set up around 6pm and have a limited window till about midnight or so, after that the sidewalk bars set up shop. Not as many as there were before but they are there - and stay open till around 4 to 5am. Not many lookers. Nana plaza is dying out, most of the gogo bars (exception spankys and rainbow bars) are desperate for punters. Beer bars... it depends. Big dogs should be called stray dogs now. The Hillary bars still pack them in, Hillary 2 is actually more popular than it was before and stays open till 5.
Flashermac
I think Stickman explained what's wrong with Nana. Too bad it happened, though Nana began having problems long ago. Still some good bars there though.
buffalo_bill
...and her name was Sahara...as in the desert...as she had more pipe laid on her then can be imagined Her name was in fact Porn which I found particularly inspiring . I even have her telephone number but do not release it to anybody here because I am sure encountering members of the board except BuBi might damage her sensitive soul . As far as it concerns Vietnam War I stand corrected ; I usuallly calculate SEA history along flashermac´s stories which would then make him about 85 now . Years not kilograms .
