cavanami
Will be interesting if NZ hands this person over to Thailand ... Thailand asks New Zealand to extradite lese majeste suspect http://news.yahoo.com/thailand-asks-zealand-extradite-lese-majeste-suspect-112755538.html Bangkok has formally asked New Zealand to extradite a Thai wanted under the kingdom's controversial royal defamation law, prosecutors said Tuesday. Ekapop Luara is believed to have fled to New Zealand after Thailand's generals seized power in May 2014. He was one of dozens of public critics of the military who failed to report for "attitude adjustment" in the days after the coup. He face charges under the lese majeste law, one of the world's strictest. The junta has vowed to get him back while Wellington has remained tight-lipped on the issue. Thailand's Office of the Attorney General released a statement Tuesday saying an extradition request had now been formally sent...

StoneSoup
I would be beyond shocked if ANY Western country complied with a Thai extradition request that was based on lese majeste violation. SS
My Penis is hungry
555 - And oddly so would the Thai's requesting it. "Sir Prime Minister General Big Boss, it's outrageous, I cant understand how the NZ people can refuse us, they are a Monarchy too! I suggest we hold them in contempt Lesse Majeste immediately, arrest them all!"
Stickman
VERY unlikely to be extradited.
Coss
My view too. He's got a NZ passport, or at least he's holding one in the photos I've seen. That would make him a Citizen. Unless they have some other crime to get him on, most unlikely. They still can't extradite DotCom, and they want to get rid of him.
