I liked that
I love it! So many scenes that I remember. The samlors and trams disappeared about 1966-67, before my time. But this was the Bangkok I knew in the early to mid '70s. Notice the different coloured buses in Bangkok. This was before the BMTA. Traffic was light and drivers raced down the street. Unbelievably, back then we thought that Bangkok was "too big". Yeah, about 2 to 3 million people.
Did you recognise Patpong and Pattaya in the pics? And I remember Saensak so well. Poor guy go hit so many times that he went blind in his later years. Krongthip cigarettes ... 3 baht a pack!
Sort of a strange choice of music. Never heard most of it before.
If you thought your commute to work was bad...
Arnie turns 70 today
I imagine this would be pretty traumatic for your average buddhist in Burma
Fortunately, it's a new chedi, built by the river not so many years ago. The question is why they built it there in the first place.
p.s. Go to the Youtube site and notice all the Muslim fruit cakes praising this is an act of Allah. I'd expect that Allah must have been a lot more pissed of the the Islamists in Aceh, judging by the way the tsunami totally creamed the place.
