...no surprise...our great (NOT) USA companies gave it all away to China...GE and the jet engines for a starter...no way I want to ride on a POS (Piece Of Shit) Chinese airplane!!! Of course Thailand will buy the cheapest and get the tea money that goes with the order...

A non-Chinese airline will replace its Boeing (NYSE: BA) jets with Chinese-built jetliners, an ominous sign for a U.S. company that sees China as its largest single future market.

 

Thailand-based City Airways, a small-but-growing regional airline based in Bangkok, this week signed a deal for 10 Chinese-built C919s to replaced the two leased 737-400s it now operates.

Well AirBus opened an assembly plant in China.

 

In March 2014, Airbus and its Chinese partners announced the extension of this successful joint venture for an additional 10 years covering the 2016-2025 timeframe. During this second phase, the facility’s capabilities will be further increased with expanded deliveries in the Asian region, assembly of the A320neo (new engine option) from 2017 onwards, and invitation of major suppliers to develop projects in Tianjin.

Currently, over half the Airbus fleet in service worldwide has parts produced by Chinese companies with whom Airbus already enjoys strong relations.

That's how the international aircraft manufacturers work. The Swedish manufaturer SAAB makes parts for both Boeing and Airbus. I'm sure that the same goes for Spanish Casa and many other smaller aircraft companies.
