Kiwi, Khun บางà¸à¸à¸à¸¡à¸´à¸ªà¸‹à¸µà¹ˆ,

thanks for your kind and encouraging words,

I am in Laos now.

Have been 4 days in Vientiane.

Now I am in Luang Prabang.

The That Luang, the religious and spiritual center of the country. In Vientiane.

The Patou Xai, it has remote resemblance to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

What about Nightlife? Nightlife, „sex supply“ in Vientiane.

I don't go to Laos because of sanuk and girls.

I have been many times in Laos in the last 23 years.

Laotian police and the Laotian authorities are attentive, they pay attention.

They don't want Laos to become the next Thailand.

It is forbidden to take a Laotian girl into the hotel room.

It is punished with a heavy fine!

There are

a - special girls in some bars and

b - there are some „queens of the night“ standing at the curb, waiting on one of the roads in Vientiane.

But be cautious! It could be an expensive adventure.

My favourite bar in the evening was „Drop Zone“.

Sometimes appeared, came around, those "queens of the night". You can regognize them very easily.

They look like western prostitutes. They are conspicuously dressed as Western prostitutes or as some of the girls of Raibow IV.

My personal opinion:

I would never take such a lady!

When I cross the river Mekong - the mother of the water – from Nong Khai to Vientiane I open my heart, and I let the genuine trust and

reliance and generous kindness and cheerfulness of Laos renew my soul.

I'm interested in art and the history of religion and Laos is a country where Buddhism penetrates, infuses every facet of life;

much more than in modern Thailand.

I want to see again the Wats and temples of Vientiane like the Pha That Luang. That is the national sanctuary and landmark of the

country and it belongs in the first place of every description of Vientiane and is a must for any visitor. Then the Wat Si Muang with the

city pillar … and many others.

Then there is Luang Prabang – ca. 400 km north of Vientiane – with wonderful temples. This ancient royal capital was declared a

UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers countless temples. Approximately 25 km north of Luang Prabang are the Pak Ou caves,

which house about 4,000 Buddha statues in its interior; and so on ...

In general:

Laos is the perfect place to put a break in a hyperactive travel agenda. I open my mind and I feel that this country of mountains,

valleys and untamed natural beauty deludes with unrivaled calmness and leisure.

You're tugging at my heart strings you are...

Coss, calm down. cool down.

Here is more to come.

==============

I am reading:

In PATTAYA it is raining cats and dogs.

Rainy season should be over now!

I am in Luang Prabang right now, Laos, 400 km north of the capital Vientiane.

The best weather. Sunshine, mainly blue sky, sometimes a little bit cloudy, thank Buddha.

Today I made an excursion. I crossed the Mekong.

"Don't pay the ferryman" Chris de Burgh once sang. I paid him 5000 Kip.

Here comes the ferry.

Some minutes later I am sitting in the boat and off we go.

Two hours later I was back again on the side of Luang Prabang.

I allowed myself a coconut with these pretty smiling girls.

It was hot and sunny. No trace of rain. A wonderful day. Like every day in recent weeks.
