Flashermac
Last week a transformer exploded down the block, knocking out the power for several hours. Since then the wifi connection has been pathetic. The strange thing is that some sites - such as this one - will open, but most others will not. (e.g. email, Face Book). What gives? Is it time to bring the monks to tie strings around everything and chant? p.s. I'm in an apartment now. I no longer have my own land line and router. I'd lived in houses before that, but they've just got too expensive in the Big Durian.

Flashermac
Quite frustrating ... since it seems to be selective in what I'm allowed to view. Time to get out the tin foil and start making helmets.

unit731
Someone turning the router on and off at random?
Flashermac
I'd thought of that ... most likely the Burmese maid. The owners were here figuring out the rent and utilities we all owe, and since then it's been working again.
