What is the best way to watch specific Olympic events in Thailand?

I saw a few minutes of the opening ceremony on Channel 3 (33).

The best way to watch the Olympics is totally free, and it is by far the best, no if or buts. The IOC official YouTube channel has live streaming of all the events. You also have the choice of full 1080p HD, so you can just plug in to your TV if you so desire. The live events start at 8:30am London time, under the picture you will see the available live channels, normally about 10 different live sports. Unlike the Thai or BBC coverage, this is not country specific, which is great. On the right you can also select a repaly of every sporting event. In the menu near the expand the screen option, you can select your resolution if you have a big screen and for the Spanish speakers, most of the sports also have Spanish commentary available as well. Many sports in my opinion are great with no commentary, just select “Natural Soundâ€.

Bus full of Chinese basketball reporters caught in roadside gunfight on the way to Olympic Village in Rio

The 2016 Summer Olympics are scheduled to begin today, but for some it has already began with a bang.

Upon their arrival in Rio, a bus full of Chinese basketball reporters was caught in a roadside gunfight. Six locals were killed in the exchange, but no Chinese casualties have been reported.

Initially, the Chinese-language Basketball Magazine posted on Weibo that Chinese national basketball team players had been caught near the flurry of bullets, where they would have presumably suffered from flashbacks to their two exhibition matches against Team USA last month.

However, Basketball Magazine later corrected this report. Upon arriving at the Rio airport, players and reporters boarded different buses headed for the Olympic Village. The bus full of basketball players made it there without incident, while the one full of reporters got held up about 2km away from the airport.

Chinese hurdler Shi Dongpeng received a less dangerous, but more bizarre greeting in Rio earlier this week. Upon arriving at his hotel, Shi was vomited on by one Brazilian man, while an accomplice made off with his luggage.

Elsewhere in Rio, a Russian official, and reportedly a master of jiu-jitsu, snatched away a robber's gun and shot him dead in the street, according to police. Russia's embassy in Rio has denied the reports.

Looks like it's shaping up to be an interesting next few weeks.

Several Team USA hoops stars made a bonehead move in a foreign land -- thinking they were walking into a spa that turned out to be a whorehouse.

DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus "Boogie" Cousins, DeMar Derozan and possibly 3 other players went out on the town Wednesday night in Rio and strolled into Termas Monte Carlo ... which Rolling Stone called "one of the high end brothels in Rio."

When you call the place, they'll tell you it's a spa that plays music ... and it's just for male customers. Oh, and they have a full bar.

A source close to the team tells us the players got the standard line, so they assumed it was kosher. The source said, "They realized it wasn't the right place for them and immediately left."

As for what happened inside, the players were only seen hanging at the bar. Multiple sources tell us they bought booze ... nothing more.

Someone should've hit the translate button on Yelp

In news here, a high powered bullet, pierced the roof of a tent and landed on the floor about 3~4 metres from a NZ official.

The people who are paid to talk about such things are making out like it's WWIII - it's as though they thought bullets didn't exist in Rio.

Me, I'd imagine you could find them on the ground, every few metres, only damaging, if they hit you personally...
