Flashermac
Really good food. He was a former merchant ship's captain and an artist. Passed on in 2004, I'm told.
pe7e
I seem to remember eating at his restaurant on Beech Road back in the 90s. If my memory serves me correct, it always had lots of shrubbery growing outside the doors, but the interior shown in the video doesn't look familiar so maybe I'm confusing it with another place. Flashermac
Thanks, I'd missed that. He'd talked a bit about his love of the sea, and I remember than he'd been a "guest" of the Japanese in WWII. Very likeable guy. RIP.
