The government has called on people to behave respectfully and refrain from posting "inappropriate content" online while the country mourns His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

 

The warning comes after three incidents in which crowds gathered to accuse individuals of posting inappropriate content about the passing of the King.

The BBC did vastly underact the crowds of mourners, having seen them myself. There had to be many tens of thousands, and the number in Bangkok could easily have been over a hundred thousand. But the BBC also printed an old report about the designated heir, which is probably the reason they are banned. Be careful of what you link here.
