Flashermac
It is known that the 9/11 hijackers trained "at home" in the US, on Microsoft Flight Simulator. But some of them are known to have stayed at the Grace Hotel. Could be.
radioman
Is this somewhere you could take a pc game savvy 14 year old and expect him to enjoy? How are the costs? Yeah, yeah I know Google is me best mate but I just can't be arsed tonight.

Coss
I wonder if the 9/11 hijackers trained there. I think a couple got basic flight training here in NZ, this was before we looked sideways, at Middle Eastern types spouting Koran at the drop of a hat, though. Specialist
I did the 30-minute hop and the 60-minute hop back in September. They're good. I did the Flying Club package, and then an additional 4-hour Flying Club block, in December. I don't recall the exact prices, but the block time works out to around US$160/hr, and includes the instructor pilot. To put it in perspective, dual instruction on a Cessna 172 will run me US$200/hr at home, and the 737 is a LOT more fun to fly. If your game-savvy 14-year-old likes airplanes, he will more than likely be in Hawg Heaven in the simulator.
