pasathai1 64 Report post Posted February 6, 2017 staged gambling controlled by the entertainment industry? " Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank was interviewed saying "It is predetermined that these two teams would be here, I wish my team was selected to be in the Super Bowl, but these two gentlemen deserve it". There are many more examples, and no one wants this to be true.....But it is. The NFL said it themselves in court. We are entertainment and we can manage outcomes as we see fit. We're EXEMPT." Flashermac 1403 Report post Posted February 7, 2017 The NFL's overtime rules have long been a gripe with fans: If the team that gets the ball on the opening drive scores a touchdown, it's game over. If it kicks a field goal, the other team gets a chance to tie or win it. Perhaps the Atlanta Falcons did not deserve a chance after blowing such a massive lead, particularly with some baffling late-game play-calling on offense. Eventually, a handoff to running back James White got them in the end zone to win the game. It's not a knock on the Patriots and their stunning comeback to call the finish disappointing. To not give the opponents, armed with the league's MVP, quarterback Matt Ryan, a shot to tie the score in the biggest game of the year feels ill-conceived. ... https://www.yahoo.com/news/nfls-overtime-rules-ruined-one-035144828.html
