Flashermac
http://www.bangkokpo...n-ratchadamneon Ping pong bombs have long been a favourite of the vocational students. Anyone making a serious protest could do much better than these.
bust
Are we talking about the ones where you drill a hole in a ping pong ball and insert a fire cracker? Hard to see how it would injure someone unless you were actually holding it so the treated may be the culprits
Flashermac
Aha! They weren't ping pong balls. Ratchadamnoen Bomber Wanted to ‘Create Chaos,’ Police say BANGKOK — Police on Thursday morning were yet to determine the motive behind a bomb which struck Wednesday night in Ratchadamnoen Avenue and injured two people, saying only that the perpetrator had no intention to claim any lives. At about 8pm Wednesday a small bomb detonated in front of the lottery agency office on Ratchadamnoen Avenue, injuring Suriyaporn Poonsombat and Pimwara Raweenoppasit, two street cleaners who were emptying a nearby trash can at the time. The Explosive Ordinance Disposal team specialists found traces of a pipe bomb at the scene – an improvised explosive made from a PVC pipe – Col. Pitak Sutthikul said on Thursday. The bomber’s motives are yet to be determined by police, but they believe the act intended to create a raucous, said Pitak of Chana Songkram Police on Thursday. Police are questioning witnesses and gathering further evidence. The bomb struck on the eve of Thailand’s enactment of the new constitution and a public holiday marking the 235th anniversary of the Chakri Dynasty’s reign. http://www.khaosoden...aos-police-say/ What's a raucous? And I didn't know that bombs "struck".

Flashermac
Remember this one? I was with friends at the Dollhouse, listening to the radio reports of bombs going off around the city and wondering if any would go off near us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Bangkok_bombings
