Labia Stretching: Why Some British Girls Are Told To Do It

WTF? :surprised:

Women often alter their genitals, but when a young girl is forced to stretch her labia it's illegal.

In some cultures longer labia are believed to make sex better for a man and stop him from cheating on his wife or leaving her.

But it's also a hidden form of child abuse, and the BBC has found evidence of it happening to girls in the UK.

"where forcing someone to do it is against the law."

And of course, anything you do to a person under 18 can be construed as force because the Adult is in a position of power, ergo it's force.

Ever tried to get a teenage girl to not do something she wants to do?

Saw a programme on Vaginas once, made by a British Woman, all very interesting, the focus was on girls 'reducing' labia size by surgery, and being told they weren't required to, learn to love your body, don't feel pressured by paternalistic expectations from men, etc etc The presenter woman, went out of her way to ask some men what they called the labia, that were large, when one proffered 'Beef Curtains" she spat tacks, despite asking for the information.

Now they're spitting tacks because girls are not having small labia?

When will it end?

Soon they'll be posting selfies of their labia on the net and spitting tacks if a male 'likes' them

The World Health Organization is scheduled to release an amendment later this month where labia elongation will be treated differently.

Currently it classifies the elongation of the labia minora as a form of female genital mutilation. Mutilation, however, carries powerful negative connotations. and such a classification problematic because mutilations generally have the effect of reducing women's sexual pleasure and violating women's integrity and rights. This does not appear to be in evidence from a study. Many have question the use of the term mutilation and propose that the term female genital modification may better capture the reality of this practice in the context of some cultures.
