Friend of mine was the Marketing Manager for a very well known Paris Fashion house. I won't name them as it would out her.

She visited me with a friend from the manufacturing arm and we went for a walk through the markets and immediately she homed in on the copies of famous brands.

I thought she was going to go nuts, after all these are people she knows personally,

Nope - she was giving the counterfeit sellers tips on how to make the counterfeits better!

WTF? I asked her

"Why should we care, we sell our purses, bags, for thousands of dollars, anyone who buys a fake is not a threat to our market."

I was oddly impressed.

And the demand for fakes bolsters the demand for real ones.

I mean, where's the cachet, or prestige in owning a real one if the rest of the world doesn't want one too? but cant afford one?

KKhardashian only wear the stuff she does, because she knows other people can't afford it.

Oh and I found out why fat women, wear so much Lycra and other stretch to fit wear, all the time.
